The 2024 edition of the Texas Team Tournament is in the books. We kicked the tires on our new home this year and by all the feedback I received the newer, nicer venue worked out very well. I have tentative agreement with the same hotel for next year and the room is blocked for us for June 19-22, 2025. And even with the one year hiatus, we found that we are still the same old tournament we have always been, with all of the same events and fun that have made us who we are as tournament for all these years. So far we have 00 players that have pre-registered to help us celebrate this little 'ol tournament in Texas in 2025. We are at a brand new hotel this year, the Courtyard by Marriott Austin Northwest/Lakeline and a discounted rate for tourney participants.
Make those plans to attend and join us in playing a lot of ASL. Remember that ours is an open tournament, so come play what you want, how much you want, with whom you want. The preregistration window closes on June 4, 2025, and the first dice hit the cups in just a few short weeks after that on June 19 through June 22. Get registered and join all of the other cool folks listed on this page.
As an open tournament, we offer players a unique opportunity to get a chance to play a larger scenario or even small CG that you might otherwise not have the opportunity to play. You can leave it set up, and even better, you can dedicate several days of focused play to it. So take advantage of the opportunity.
We'll also have Ferocity Fest as usual with a meaty featured scenario that hits all the right ferocity notes with lots of DCs, FTs HMGs, rubble, AFVs, HtH and No Quarter action. This year we're headed back out to the Pacific Theater, Manila specifically, and playing SF10 High Rent Hooligans out Sword & Fire Manila. No PTO terrain to deal with but lots of toys for both sides to deal out death and destruction. I'll have maps and relevant HASL rules available for all that want to participate. And of course you can rub it in to your opponent through the quips noted in the infamous Ferocity Fest scoring sheet.
I'll have the ASLSK mini on Saturday. We'll probably throw in a BFP playtest mini as well and whatever else we decide to come up with over the weekend.
It's never too early. So start planning now and your boss/wife won't have the excuse that you put in for the time off at the last minute.
